The Note 7 featured a 5.7-inch display, though that device had bezels along the top which Samsung is rumored to remove to give the new Note an "infinity display" akin to the Galaxy S8 and S8+. A report by Reuters on Tuesday said the smartphone giant is planning an event for the "second half of August," where it will introduce the Galaxy Note 8. Last year's ill-fated Note 7 was announced Aug. 2 while the prior model, 2015's Note 5, was introduced Aug. 13.
