"The Indian Express" said : Samsung Galaxy Note 8 passes through the FCC, ahead of August 23 launch

collected by : Andro Alex The Galaxy Note 7 was a disaster, but the company is ready to move ahead by releasing the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been spotted at the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC), where the smartphone has received certification. Four variants of the Galaxy Note 8 – SM-950U, SM-950U1, SM-950XU and SM-950W – have received the FCC certifications in the US. The Galaxy Note lineup has never come cheap, but the Galaxy Note 8 could become the most expensive smartphone in the company's portfolio. Considering that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of the iPhone 8, the phone will carry the top-of-the-line specifications.

Samsung just leaked the Galaxy Note 8's preorder date – BGR
Though Samsung stopped short of revealing the phone's actual release date for the phone, it appears as though the company inadvertently leaked the preorder date. Or at least that's when the new screen replacement program for the Galaxy Note 8 kicks off in the region. In addition to revealing the potential preorder start date for Australia, the terms and conditions mention the phone's full name (Galaxy Note 8) and product model number (SM-N9404). Samsung Australia will offer one free Galaxy Note 8 screen replacement within 12 months of purchase under a new Screen Assure program, which runs through late October 2018. If August 25th is indeed the preorder date in Australia, it's likely the Galaxy Note 8 will be available for pre-order on the same date in various other major mobile phone markets, including the US, key EU countries, and Asia.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 8 at an event in New York City later this month. Based on all the rumors, which smartphone would you rather have — the iPhone 8 or the Galaxy Note 8? It has been rumored that due to a shortage of supplies, the new iPhone won't launch in September like it usually does. According to Android Headlines, the Note 8 could have the best smartphone camera ever built. And finally, Apple is set to add wireless charging capabilities to the iPhone — something Samsung has done with its phones since 2014.
