Samsung 'Accidentally' Confirms Massive Galaxy Note 9
In a new tweet, the tipster (whose track record includes breaking the Galaxy Note 8, attaining the first Galaxy S8 real world photos and dissecting the Galaxy S9 four months before release) has obtained a full-page Samsung advertisement for the Galaxy Note 9. The bad news is the ad confirms the Galaxy Note 9 has a disappointingly iterative design which is almost identical to the Galaxy Note 8, except for the fact we know it will actually be heavier and thicker. You can also see the new central alignment of the rear fingerprint sensor, which confirms the cancellation of an in-display reader (now saved for the all-new Galaxy S10). Especially given the warning signs Samsung got from the Galaxy S9, which is struggling after a similarly incremental upgrade from the Galaxy S8. But now Samsung has gone one step further and put the phone on its website…Picked up by the eagled-eyed SamMobile, Samsung has listed the Galaxy Note 9 on its support sites in France, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The bad news is these increases will make the Galaxy Note 9 heavier and thicker than the Galaxy Note 8, the in-display fingerprint sensor has been postponed until the more exciting Galaxy S10 and the core design has barely changed. Then again, it's noticeable Samsung has been far less sloppy about Galaxy S10 redesign and wallet-busting folding Galaxy X.
