The picture in Samsung Exynos' tweet features the company's Exynos 8895 System-on-a-Chip (SoC), which powers the Galaxy S8 and is presumably going to be used in the next Note. One of Samsung's official Twitter accounts tweeted out an image on Monday that shows what may be the next Galaxy Note smartphone, as first reported by TechRadar. But the device in the image still resembles the phone pictured in other leaks of the tentatively named "Galaxy Note 8," such as the one Twitter user Ice Universe (who correctly leaked the Galaxy S8 in February) shared last Friday. pic.twitter.com/ieQzwmpT2O — Ice universe (@UniverseIce) July 14, 2017The device is expected to be officially unveiled some time later next month, with a release on the market shortly after. The phone in Samsung's tweet has an even thinner bezel than the Galaxy S8, and shows no physical buttons on its right-hand side, which could mean that this is a reference design of the firm's current high-end smartphones.

This is not the first time that Samsung's head of mobile has officially talked about the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh told reporters in Taiwan that it'll unveil the new Note phone at the end of August, as reported by Taiwanese outlet ePrice. Although the Galaxy S8 flagship sold without a repeat of the Note 7's battery fires, the Note 8 is Samsung's first opportunity to erase the Note 7's black mark against that particular model. Koh also told reporters that the Note 8 would go on sale starting in September through October, depending on country.
