Flight nearly diverts after passenger named Wi-Fi after Galaxy Note
- 042110-Airplane in flight (Photo: WCNC)A flight leaving San Francisco was delayed and nearly diverted after a passenger apparently changed the name of their Wi-Fi hot spot after a banned cell phone, according to reports.According to one passenger on Virgin America flight 358 from San Francisco to Boston, he apparently noticed that one of the Wi-Fi hotspots near him was named "Samsung Galaxy Note7_1097," so he took a screenshot of his laptop, and tweeted it out.Open my laptop on the plane and notice a Galaxy Note 7 wifi hotspot https://t.co/y1csn9gOsZ pic.twitter.com/9Z5IJULuPs — Lucas Wojciechowski (@lucaswoj) December 20, 2016The apparent passenger of the flight, who identifies himself as Lucas Wojciechowski on Twitter, went on to post a series of tweets describing the scene.Wojciechowski tweeted that about "an hour into the (flight,) there's an announcement, 'If anyone has a Galaxy Note 7, please press your call button.'"
